DOWNTOWN MAIN STREET CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: TxDOT's Contractor, Lonestar Sitework, has started the mill and overlay work for Main Street between Peach and Ash St. Once Lonestar started working, they discovered that they needed to extend the repairs further south than they anticipated. Therefore, the intersection at Houston and Peach Streets had to be closed. Lonestar Sitwork expects to have the work completed sometime this afternoon and will re-open the intersection at that time. Meanwhile, the parking lot south or adjacent to the former City hall (now Inspired Minds) is closed, but will be re-opened this afternoon. The side parking lot at the former Buda library will remain closed until Monday. Parking is available in the lot across from Super Slicks and on San Antonio Street. Sidewalks will remain open. We apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience. The parking map included in prior postings is effective AFTER the mill and overlay work is complete. The work will shift to the west side of Main after this weekend's work is finished.

After this weekend's work is complete, construction will shift to the west side of Main St. On the second and third pages of the press release we have included information pertaining to the work on the west side of Main St. There is a separate parking map and detour map for the construction on the west side of Main. Again, that doesn't begin until after this weekend's work is over.
