An upper level storm system and cold front will move across South Central Texas Friday Afternoon sparking off a line of showers and thunderstorms along and east of Highway 281. The line will move east through the evening into the overnight hours. The main threat will be damaging thunderstorm winds and large hail. Isolated tornadoes are also possible. Our area is under an Enhanced Risk for Severe Weather. There may be some lingering showers early Saturday morning across the far eastern areas of South Central Texas, however, the risk of severe weather should be over east Texas.
