This is a busy time for construction in the City of Buda. We want to remind motorists and pedestrians to proceed with caution in construction zones and to please observe the posted speed limit signs. The City has received reports of motorists cutting through neighborhoods to avoid construction/traffic lights and speeding in residential areas. This is dangerous, not only to pedestrians, but for animals as well. The City has received reports of several animals being hit by motor vehicles. The Buda Police Department is aware of the traffic concerns and will patrol as much as time permits. Injured or deceased animals in the roadway can be reported to Animal Control at 512-393-7896.
