Bike Decorating for Red, White & Buda Parade
Does you kiddo need help decorating his/her bike? Join the Buda Public Library on Wednesday, July 3 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. They will have decorations on hand, or you can bring your own. Staff will help decorate bikes for the Red, White & Buda Parade.
Morning Festivities - July 4, 2019 - Downtown Buda and Buda Greenbelt
8:30 AM - Line-up begins for the Red, White & Buda Parade near the old City Hall at Main and Houston St. in the parking lot across from Garcia's.
9:00 AM - Red, White & Buda Parade begins at Main and Houston and then makes its way down Main Street to the Buda Greenbelt. ***No motorized vehicles allowed***
Parade Awards - (After the parade at the Gazebo in the Buda Greenbelt) - Awards will be given for most creative, most patriotic, and best decorated.
9:00 AM - NOON - Festivities in the Buda Greenbelt - Food, bounce house, and trackless train.
Evening Festivities - July 4, 2019 - Buda Sportsplex (310 Buda Sportsplex Drive)
5:00 PM - 10 PM - Food, live entertainment, bounce house, and trackless train.
9:30 PM - Enjoy a spectacular 25-minute fireworks show.
Road Closures
Main Street will be closed between China Street and San Antonio Street from 8:45 AM to 9:20 AM.
After the parade, Main Street will be closed between RM 967 and San Antonio Street until approximately 12:15 PM.
Detours
East to West:
During Parade: Traffic traveling west on Main street will be routed down San Antonio Street to San Marcos Street to FM 967.
From there drivers can access Bluff, San Marcos, or Austin street to reach FM 2770 and south Main Street.
After Parade: Drivers can travel back up FM 967 to Main Street and turn ONLY to the right.
West to East:
Traffic needing to go North must turn left onto San Marcos street and then right onto San Antonio to Main Street.
West to South:
During Parade: Traffic can turn right from FM 967 to Bluff street to FM 2720.
After Parade: Traffic needing to travel South can resume on FM 967 to Main Street and turn ONLY to the right.
Buda Police Department
The Buda Police Department will have units/officers at:
Main Street and San Marcos Street intersection (direct traffic down San Marcos)
FM 967 and Main Street intersection (will close intersection)
Parking lot Across from Garcia’s Restaurant (will lead parade)
FM 2770 and Main Street (will follow behind parade)
