PROPOSITION 3 STREETS
OLD GOFORTH ROAD IMPROVEMENT
The general scope of work for this project includes:
· Dedicated left and right turn lanes at Tom Green Elementary
· Intersection safety improvements at FM 2001
· Increase pedestrian connectivity between subdivisions and school
· Aesthetic enhancements
Project was advertised for bid on November 7, 2018
Bid opening was held on December 11, 2018
Construction contract awarded to MA Smith Contracting Company
Notice to Proceed issued January 19, 2019
Storm sewer has been placed
Lime treatment of subgrade is underway
Reconstruction eastern side of Stone Crest Blvd is underway
Northbound side of Old Goforth currently under construction
Expected Completion October 2019
MAIN STREET AT RM 967
The general scope of work for this project includes:
· Create turning lanes and through lanes to address traffic flow
· Reconfiguration of sidewalks, signing and striping for enhanced pedestrian safety
· Maintain existing diagonal parking
· Relocation of traffic signal poles
TxDOT project kickoff meeting was held on March 13, 2019
Project design is 100% complete. Conversion to TxDOT specifications complete.
Revised plans submitted to TxDOT for review on 4/5/19
Schedule for letting in early August 2019 pending TxDOT reviews/approvals
Expected completion late Spring 2020
MAIN STREET IMPROVEMENTS
The general scope of work for this project includes:
· Widening of the Bradfield Drive/Main Street Intersection and extension of the 5 lane section to the west of Santa Cruz Catholic church
· Signal Modification at Bradfield Drive and Main Street to accommodate additional lanes
· Bradfield Park cross culvert extension/modification
· Extension of sidewalk along Main Street and improved accessibility to Bradfield Park
· Select areas for pavement base repair
· Pavement overlay and restriping
· Design is complete
· Utility relocations on-going
· Relocation of City facilities will be concurrent with roadway construction
· Project was re-advertised for bid April 10, 2019
· Bid opening scheduled for April 2
· Anticipated construction in late May 2019
· Expected completion Summer 2020
RAINY DAY PROJECT — CABELA’S CONNECTOR
The general scope of work for this project includes:
· Development of a preliminary schematic including pavement design
· Geotechnical study, environmental study and utility conflict analysisv
· Right of Way acquisition
· Project was submitted for potential CAMPO (Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization) funding under recent project call. Funding was not approved, but project ranked well.
· Potential for funding to become available should other projects not utilize entire awarded funding
· Preliminary schematic is complete
· Geotechnical study and pavement design is complete
· Environmental study is complete
· Property owner has provided City with Right of Entry agreement which is under review by the City Attorney

Status:
· Construction 75% complete
· Remaining Issue:
UPR permit and Sprint relocation delaying final phase — Railroad Street Channel & Culvert
· Possible Options:
Deduct last phase from Contract, City forces completion at later date
Deduct last phase from Contract, change order into Smith’s street project contract at later date
Suspend contract until permit and relocation complete, pay to remobilize

Status:
· Construction 50% Complete, On Schedule
· Remuda Trail and Oxbow Trail Culvert Structures Near Complete
· Bullwhip Pass Culvert Structure Under Construction

· Wastewater lift station decommissioning estimated early Fall 2019
