The City of Buda, Buda Economic Development Corporation, Buda Area Chamber of Commerce, along with other community organizations are gearing up for “Buda Legislative Day” at the Capitol on February 27, 2019. This day is an opportunity for City leaders to meet with lawmakers to discuss upcoming legislation that could impact our community.
Representatives from Buda will meet with lawmakers to discuss the needs and legislative priorities for the community. Buda Legislative Day will include recognition of the delegation in both the House and Senate and meetings with specific representatives and senators to discuss bills affecting Buda such as HB 1044 filed by Representative Erin Zwiener and SB 483 filed by Senator Donna Campbell. Both bills are aimed at improving the way the City can store and use water in aquifers for use in times of need.
