Activities
Lighted Parade: This lighted, nighttime parade goes directly through the heart of Downtown Buda. Watch as community organizations decorate their floats to bring out the spirit of the holidays. The parade ends with a fireworks show where Santa Claus will count down with all the parade goers and kick-off the beginning of the holidays in Buda, Texas! The parade takes place Saturday, Dec 1 at 6:30 p.m. and will travel down Main Street from Buda Mill and Grain Co. to Buda City Park.
Reindog Parade: Dogs from all around will gather to trot down the street in their best holiday costumes and outfits. The pet-parent of the most festive dog will win a prize! The Reindog Parade will take place on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2:00 PM to kick-off the festivities.
Craft Vendors: Craft vendors from all across Texas will display their merchandise and hand-made wares for you to explore and discover the perfect unique gift for your loved ones this holiday season.

Artisan Workshop: Festival goers can watch demonstrations and get a more hands on holiday craft experience.

Play in the Snow: Build a snow man! Make a snow angel! Experience a winter tradition that doesn't happen too often here in Texas. Located next to the food court.

Pictures with Santa: Get pictures of the kids with Santa and Mrs. Claus taken in the Basil Anthony Moreau Memorial Building (former Buda Public Library) for the perfect holiday picture to include in your holiday card to your family and friends.

Food Vendors: Eat all the fair food your stomach craves. Local non-profits and carefully picked food vendors are open during all hours of the festival.

Kids Activities: Kids can write letters to Santa, make ornaments and other crafts, and discovered other fun holiday activities all in one area.

Performances & Entertainment: Performance and entertainment will be provided by local talent ranging from dance to music.

Carnival: Enjoy a small carnival with games an rides on the Downtown Greenbelt both Saturday and Sunday!

Annual Book Sale: Join the Friends of the Buda Library for their Annual Book Sale just in time for the holidays! Shop a wide variety of gently used books at incredibly low prices while supporting the Buda Library. This year, the book sale will be held at the Municipal Complex at 405 E. Loop St.

Main St. will be closed between FM 967 and San Antonio St.
Austin St. will be closed between FM 967 and San Antonio St.
San Marcos St. will be closed between FM 967 and San Antonio St.
Ash St., Elm St., and San Antonio St. will be closed between Austin St. and Main St.
Budafest Parade Closure (Additional Portion of Main St. Closed) - 6:15 p.m.
Main St. between Goforth and FM 967 will be closed during the parade (parade begins at 6:30 p.m.). It will close at approximately 6:15. This portion of Main St. will reopen after the parade makes its way through the area. Main St. between FM 967 and San Antonio St. will remain closed until 10:30 p.m.
FM 967 will be closed between San Marcos St. and Main St. during the parade.
China St. will be closed between Austin St. and Main St. during the parade.
Peach St. will be closed between Austin St. and Main St. during the parade.
During the Budafest Parade, Sequoyah St. will serve as the detour route.

Detour to Main St. During Closure
Detour to Main St. and FM 967 (East on Main St. from I-35) – Take Main St. (Loop 4) and detour left on Railroad St. Take a right on Houston St., a right on Main Street, and then a left on FM 967.
Detour (West) to Main Street: Take Main Street and then detour right to Houston Street. Go over the railroad tracks and then turn left on Railroad St. Take Railroad St. to Main St. and then turn right on Main St. towards I-35.
