CITY OF BUDA TO HOST HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS WASTE COLLECTION EVENT
The City of Buda, in partnership with the City of San Marcos and through a grant from the Capital Area Council of Governments (CAPCOG) and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), will host a Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event on Saturday, November 17, 2018, from 9 am – noon. The collection event will be located at Tom Green Elementary located at 1301 Old Goforth Rd, Buda, Texas 78610. The event is free and open to City of Buda residents only.

Materials such as oil-based paint, aerosols, oil, antifreeze, pool chemicals, lawn fertilizers and chemicals, household cleaners, light bulbs, and batteries will be accepted at the event. Items should be brought to the event in their original containers. Please bring a picture I.D. and proof of residency to the collection event.
Compressed gas, electronics, medical waste, pharmaceuticals, and tires are NOT accepted through this program. No business or commercial-based waste products can be accepted as part of this collection event. Only materials from residences may be accepted.
Customers looking to dispose of latex-based paint can save a trip by opening the cans and letting them dry out. Once dried, the paint can then be disposed of through the residential trash service.
If you can’t make it to the event, Hays County residents may dispose of HHW materials at the City of San Marcos HHW facility located at 634 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas.
