With every day that goes b, the municipal building is inching closer to being finished.
“Currently in the city hall and administrative area we’ve already accomplished the final walk through and punch items on the interior finishes and finish out," said Project Manager Ray Creswell. "They are in the process of finishing out in the public area, which is the main lobby where the pay stations are for utility billing.”
The library is coming together nicely. This 25,000 square foot space will be a big step up from our current facility.
“They are currently laying carpet and final finishes in the library and should be wrapped up by the end of this week.”
Over in the city council chambers a lot of progress has been made.
“The dais is being installed in city council chambers and final finishes are being completed on the interior.”
Final work is underway around the exterior of the building.
“They have the flag poles up. All of the bollards are in place at the pedestrian bridge. They are currently putting landscape in the parking lot islands and should start striping the parking lots this week. On the south side they are currently they are finished pouring the sidewalks and are putting in some pavers at the entry.
While there are still a few finishes and smaller things to complete, the municipal building is on track to be finished by mid to late April. Staff will move in at the end of May.
