“In the public areas they are completing the overall finishes. The Epay wood was delivered to the site yesterday. We will start installation on the exterior of the building, as well as bringing it into the interior,” said Project Director Ray Creswell.
Our new library will take up a large portion of the building. It occupies approximately 25,000 square feet.
“They just finished up with the above ceiling inspections, so everything is finished out. They are in the process of putting the final ceiling finishes in place and then they will start finishing out the walls and installation of the doors throughout the space.”
Outside, things are also coming together.
“They are in the process doing the rough grades on the final parking area and finishing up pouring the concrete curbs. The pedestrian bridge now is fully poured to the final finished height and is connected to the building. The exterior stone is complete on the entry into the building.”
As the work progresses, there is now a light at the end of the tunnel…
“The schedule has always been to turn over the city hall and library building at the end of April. As of today, we are still currently in line for that finish date.”
