Hard to believe, but in a few weeks our police department will move into the new Public Safety building.
In April of this year, our crew poured the foundation for our the building. Fast forward 7 months and you have a completed structure.
“They are currently in the process of moving in furniture. That will be finished towards the end of next week. We have a few minor items that we’re trying to finish up,” said Project Manager Ray Creswell.
The police department is expected to start moving in around November 20th.
Over at the municipal building our crew is working hard.
“On the first floor they are already doing the first coat of finishes on the walls. They are also beginning to lay in the ceiling grid. Throughout the lobby area they are currently putting in the new ceiling element. The framing is in place. On the second floor in the City Hall administrative area they are now closing in the walls on both sides. They are beginning to tape and bed the dry wall for finishes.”
The new library is also coming together.
“In the library they are finalizing some of the framing. They are also beginning to close up both sides of the walls.”
In a matter of months, the Municipal Complex has taken shape and we are excited about the future.
“We are still on schedule for the end of April on the final finish out and turnover of the building.
