Our construction crew continues to make progress on the Municipal Complex. Interior walls are up at the City Hall and Library building.
“Overhead inspections have taken place and they’re beginning to install the hard ceiling framing. Interior finishes are going up on the City Hall portion of it. They’re beginning to finish out the dry wall on both sides," said Project Manager Ray Creswell.
A few weeks ago the inside of the Municipal building was filled with open space. Today, about 95 percent of the walls are up on the administration portion of the building.
“Interior walls on the library and even the public space are completely framed.”
The pedestrian bridge connecting the parking lot to the public space is also coming along.
“The pedestrian bridge still has one more pour to go over the top of it. Right now it’s still in a semi-final state."
Meanwhile, the Public Safety Building is entering its last stretch of construction.
“Interior finishes are going in right at this moment. All the doors have been hung and hardware is beginning to be installed.”
“Exterior wise all he pavement is in. They’re getting ready to start the landscaping and the irrigation systems are in place.”
The Public Safety garage is about 65 percent complete.
“The gates that control the access to public safety parking will soon be going in.”
It will take a few weeks to install the furniture.
“By the end of November they should be fully in place, but they will probably start moving in sometime in mid-November.
The City Hall and Library will opens its doors in April of next year.
