Hays County is now under a Tropical Storm Warning. Hurricane Harvey remains unpredictable, but the NWS says to expect very heavy rainfall over the next several days and tropical storm winds of 40-50mph with gusts up to 60mph. Rainfall is expected to be heaviest east of I-35 – possibly “catastrophic” according to the NWS – but all of Hays County is expected to be affected.
Take warnings seriously. Please stay tuned to media who are providing National Weather Service updates.
Make sure moveable objects outside are in a safe place, or they could become projectiles. Bring pets inside. If you see water over the road, turn around, don’t drown.
