“Everything is coming together very nicely”
Another week of progress has been made at the Municipal Complex.
“We have all of the curb and gutter going in at the Public Safety building. The curb and gutter for the City Hall portion of the building is about 85 percent complete,” Project Manager, Ray Creswell said.
With a scheduled opening of late October, work on the Public Safety Building is moving fast.
“The dry wall sub-contractors are doing the sanding, taping and bedding of the walls. The first Coat of paint is going on and all of the interior door frames have been set. The foundation for the Public Safety Building garage is being poured this week.”
Furniture is also being ordered for the building
Over at the City Hall and Library our crew is moving full steam ahead.
“All the window frames are going in, the storefront frames are being installed, and the glass has been installed partially in the City Hall area of the building. The interior walls are all framed, except a few in the library area at this time."
The Buda Fire Department also toured the Municipal Complex this week. They’re getting an early start on learning the layout of both buildings.
“Generally during construction the fire marshal or a dedicated inspector is the only individual with the fire department to visit the facility before turning it over to the owner. In this case they want to bring their entire shift out to get a lay of the land before we open for business," said Chase Koory, Job Site Superintendent with JE Dunn Construction.
