Crews are moving fast on the city hall and library building. The exterior wall of the library is now up and crews are making progress on key portions of the complex.
“All the water proofing for the city hall is complete, on the first floor level they’re installing the stone finishes,” said Project Manager Ray Creswell.
With every wall that goes up, the Municipal Building is coming to life.
“The interior wall layout has already begun. They’re installing and getting the electrical rooms in place, so that they can connect the main power to the building."
Over at the Public Safety Building, it’s a similar story. The exterior is quickly taking shape.
“All the windows are in place and all the stone is in place. The framing and strips for the wood on the entry will be going in place and they’ll start doing the exterior finishes.”
Meanwhile, the pedestrian bridge is still under construction.
“They have poured the main bridge. The post tension cable will be stretched and stressed this week. They are projecting one more pour over the top, which will be the finish portion of the pedestrian bridge. ”
“The main drive throughout the entire site is completely in place from Stagecoach all the way to Loop Street. Sidewalks are 65 percent complete”
The main parking lot will be finished 30 to 40 days before the entire project is complete.
