With every week that goes by more and more progress is being made at the Municipal Site. The Public Safety building and the City Hall and Library remain on schedule.
“On the Municipal Building they are now starting to set the stone on the exterior and also looking at installing the final roof material over the City Hall portion,” said Project Manager Ray Creswell.
As work on the outside progresses, inside the City Hall portion of the building you can see the various offices and conference rooms taking shape.
“In the public space they are grinding the polished concrete so they can set the interior walls.”
Meanwhile, the layout for the final walls for the library is set to begin soon.
The pedestrian bridge connecting the parking area to the building is now visible.
“There are some minor adjustments to the bed of the channel. They want to get that all in place before they start to pour the concrete.”
The drive way extending from Stagecoach to Main will be finished in the coming weeks.
Work is also progressing on the Public Safety building.
“We are currently closing in all the walls, doing some of the mechanical connections, finalizing the roof for the building and trying to get all of the storefront in place.”
Right now all the stone on the exterior is going up and being put in place."
As far as the schedule, both buildings are on schedule. The Public Safety Building is expected to be completed by October of this year and the Municipal Building should be finished by April of 2018.
