Construction Crews have erected 100% of the steel on the Municipal Building. The building will house City Hall and the Library.
“They have started doing interior wall framing and exterior wall framing. The second floor has been poured and we’ll be laying out the interior walls for the second floors starting the first part of next week,” said Project Manager Ray Creswell.
Crews are also getting ready to put in the steps and the ramp from the lower to upper level.
Roofing work continues on the Municipal Building. And check out the Main Drive.
“Right now they’re pouring the main drive. It has been poured on the PSB portion of it. They’re approximately 80 percent complete on the city hall and library portion of the parking lot.”
Another big feature of the complex is the drainage channel…
“The drainage ditch is approximately 70 percent complete. They still have to finish out some of the bed leveling, as well as putting in stones at the head wall and then the continuation of the channel wall from one end to the other.”
After that work is finished, the pedestrian bridge connecting the building to the parking lot will be poured in place.
And we can’t forget the Public Safety Building.
“They’re supposed to start the exterior wall finishes. Currently they have all the exterior sheathing and green board up as well as the liquid water proofing,” said Creswell.
