We have some sad news to report. Helen, who owned Helen’s Casa Alde (Buda’s oldest restaurant) in Downtown Buda, has passed away at the age of 93. Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this difficult time. Helen’s legacy will live on.

"It is with a heavy heart that we share that our dear Mrs. Helen has been called home. The matriarch of Buda lived 93 amazing years and was the proud owner of the oldest restaurant in town.
Our city will shine a little dimmer without her sweet smile and soft-spoken demeanor. She loved her customers so much and could remember almost anyone she has met over our 37 years in business. You were all her family and lived in a very special place in her heart.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers during this time."
