BUDA, TEXAS -- J.D. Sanford and Richard Alexander of the Historic Preservation Commission (HPC) will be presenting a commemorative poster to Robert and Mary Ann Gomez, owners of Old Town Buda Antique Mall, as a way to recognize their business and the historic building in which they operate. The presentation, which is open to the public, will occur at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2021, at the Old Town Buda Antique Mall, 212 N. Main Street in Buda.
The HPC recently introduced the poster program to recognize the historic buildings along Buda's Main Street. The HPC plans to present a poster quarterly.
The City of Buda is home to about 18,000 residents and has earned designations as a “Texas Main Street City,” “Tree City USA,” “Bee City Affiliate” and “Platinum-Level Scenic City.” Buda is situated along the Interstate 35 corridor, has 14 parks and a historic downtown district where residents and visitors alike can shop, dine, relax, and breathe easy here.
