BUDA, TEXAS — Contractors performing drainage culvert work on FM 2770, also known as Jack C. Hays Trail, will begin rerouting traffic to an adjacent, temporary roadway beginning Thursday, June 24, 2021, and ending Thursday, July 15, 2021.
Initial traffic safety measures will include flaggers to control single lane, direction-controlled traffic during the weekdays and as required on weekends. The detour will allow for continued excavation below the existing roadway along the north side of the road and the installation of drainage culverts. This work will continue through mid-August.
The City of Buda requests motorists to obey posted traffic signs, work zone speed limits, and be mindful of contractors who are working to complete this flood-hazard mitigation project for Buda’s citizens. Adherence to these temporary traffic changes is appreciated.
