A Flash Flood Warning has been issued for Caldwell and Hays County for Saturday, May 1, 2021 until 5:30 p.m.
Doppler radar has indicated thunderstorms procuding heavy rain across the warn area. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in one hour with additional amounts of rain continuing until 5:30 p.m.
Flash floods can be life-threatening and can impact creeks,streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.
Some locations that may experience flash flooding includes: Buda, Kyle, San Marcos, Lockhart, Luling, Wimberly, Woodcreek, Martindale, Uhland, Mustang Ridge, Niederwald, Bear Creek, Fentress, Driftwood, Brownsboro, Mountain City, Hays, Maxwell, and Reedville.
