The City of Buda adopted amendments to the Unified Development Code (UDC) at its Tuesday, April 20, 2021 City Council meeting. The UDC represents the City’s adopted rules and regulations for development within the City limits and ETJ.
The UDC was originally adopted in October 2017. The adopted edits remove inconsistencies and clarify the intent of several sections within Section 2 regarding zoning regulations related to Form-Base Development.
“Recent application activity has led city staff to notice inconsistencies or ambiguities in the sections of the code relating to Form-Base Development,” said Melissa McCollum, Director of Planning.
The changes adopted clarify the Use Chart and certain uses requiring a Specific Use Permit, specifically for multifamily development within Form-Base Districts (zoning) and the “by-right” allowance of gas stations.
Other changes adopted include signage allowances within the ETJ and deletion of duplicative language. For more information, please visit www.ci.buda.tx.us/399/Code-of-Ordinances to view Ordinance 2021-10.
