FROM BUDA FIRE DEPARTMENT: The Buda Fire Department responded to two lightning sparked house fires this morning. Both structures suffered significant damage. The first fire was called in at 7:02 AM in the 25-hundred of Garlic Creek Drive. Damage is estimated at $150,000. No injuries were reported. Crews were then called out to a fire in the 3-hundred block of Red Morganite Trail at 7:16 AM. Damage is estimated at $200,000. No injuries were reported. Firefighters were able to extinguish the flames quickly at both homes upon arrival.
