HEAT ADVISORY: A heat advisory is in effect starting today (July 11) at 11 AM until July 12 at 8 PM. Heat index values up to 110 are expected in some spots. Limit time outdoors and check on the elderly & those without A/C. NEVER leave kids or pets unattended in vehicles.
Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside.
When possible reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening.
Wear lightweight and loose fitting clothing when possible.
To reduce risk during outdoor work, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned environments.
